Piedmont Bank Robbery on 17 May 2007

MECKLENBURG COUNTY NC NEWS -- FBI's Safe Street Task Force investigators are asking assistance in identifying the criminal who committed this bank robbery.

On Thursday, May 17, 2007 at approximately 11:25 am, an unknown white male subject entered the Piedmont Bank located at 100 North Statesville Road, in Huntersville, North Carolina. The perpetrator presented a note at the teller counter and obtained an undetermined amount of currency. The perpetrator turned and exited the bank and was last observed running northbound through the bank public vehicular area, and continued on foot through the strip mall public vehicular area. Due to heavy vehicular traffic it is unknown at this time if the subject got into a vehicle.

The victim tellers described the subject as a white male, with a round face, five feet and ten inches tall, with a stocky build, with some facial hair. The subject was wearing sunglasses, a brownish green rounded brim Gilligan type hat, multi colored pattern shirt and gray pants. No age estimate was available from the victim teller.
