June 18, 2007 MECKLENBURG COUNTY NC NEWS -- The FBI Charlotte Safe Streets Task Force and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department are asking for your help in solving the following crime. At approximately 9:20 a.m. on June 18, the Truliant Federal Credit Union located at 9524 Monroe Road, Charlotte, North Carolina, was robbed by a lone male armed with a handgun. The perpetrator fled the area with an undisclosed amount of money, which included a "dye pack," so the perpetrator, his clothing, and maybe the bank robbery loot are spatted in red dye. The perpetrator is described as a black male, approximately 5'6" in height, with a small build and weighing approximately 140 pounds. At the time of the bank robbery, the suspect was dressed in all black clothing, including a black, hooded sweatshirt. The perpetrator fled the area in a four-door sedan that was red in color and had tinted windows. Investigators from the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department responded to the robbery and are still investigating.
