July 13, 2007 MECKLENBURG COUNTY NC NEWS -- Investigators from the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the perpetrator who is responsible for the robbery of the Bank of America located at 2405 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina.
On July 13, 2007, at approximately 4:15 p.m., the Bank of America was robbed by a lone male who entered the bank and presented a note to one of the bank tellers. The note demanded money and indicated that the perpetrator was armed, but no weapon was observed during the robbery. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the area. It is not know whether the perpetrator fled on foot or in a vehicle.
The perpetrator was described as a clean-shaven black male, approximately 5'8" in height with a slim build, and mid-20's in age. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a black Yankees baseball cap, a black t-shirt, and blue-jean short pants.
