July 20, 2007

WARREN COUNTY NC NEWS -- The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) has determined that on July 17, 2007, at approximately 8:25 p.m., two fires were deliberately set at 105 Levi Road, in Norlina, Warren County North Carolina.

The first fire was contained to two small buckets that had been placed inside the crawl space entrance under the house. Warren County fire crews extinguished the fire, and then used thermal imaging cameras to check for hot spots, finding none, the fire crews left. No fire damage had occurred to the interior of the house.

However, thirty minutes later, the entire structure was fully engulfed in flames. The initial Investigation revealed the second fire did not originate anywhere near the first fire. Two burned holes in the floor were found under the stairwell in a closet. Both fires were determined to be of incendiary in nature, therefore, the Warren County Sheriff's Office will be in charge of conducting a follow up arson investigation.
